Your Data Rights Explained

Right of Access

DPDP

Request a complete copy of your personal data, including our reasons for processing, retention periods, and third-party sharing details. You will receive a comprehensive HTML and CSV report within 30 days.

Right to Erasure

DPDP

Permanently delete your data when it is no longer necessary, you withdraw consent, or processing is unlawful. A minimal anonymised audit log is retained to prove compliance.

Rectification

DPDP

Correct inaccurate or incomplete information without undue delay. You may be asked to provide evidence of the correct data.

Restriction

Temporarily halt all processing of your data while accuracy disputes or objections are resolved, without requiring immediate deletion.

Data Portability

Receive your data in a CSV/JSON machine-readable format to transfer to another service. Applies to data processed under consent or a contract.

Right to Object

DPDP

Object to processing for direct marketing, profiling, or research at any time. We must stop processing unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds.

Legal Framework

🇪🇺 GDPR (European Union)

Applies to EU and UK residents. It guarantees a set of fundamental data subject rights, a breach notification requirement, and the right to lodge complaints with a supervisory authority.

🇮🇳 DPDP Act (India)

India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act. Rights include access, erasure, correction, and objection. Data Fiduciaries must appoint a Data Protection Officer, and penalties can be substantial.

FAQs

How long does it take?

Normal requests take up to 30 days. Urgent requests take 7 days. For legal action, our DPO will acknowledge your request within 72 hours. Complex requests may be extended, in line with GDPR provisions.

What ID do I need?

Just your email address — we verify it with a one-time code before your request is processed. No government ID is required for standard requests.

Will my data really be deleted?

Yes — your survey responses will be anonymised, and your user account will be permanently deleted. A minimal, anonymised audit record may be retained strictly to demonstrate regulatory compliance.

Can I request on behalf of someone else?

Only if you are a duly authorised legal representative (e.g., a parent requesting for a child, or a legal guardian). Please describe your relationship in the notes field.
